    Description

    Tomlinson is Eastern Canada's leader in environmental, construction and transportation infrastructure services. Our Residential Construction team is getting ready to ramp up hiring for the season, we are seeking to hire several Labourers. This position provides full-time hours and working from Monday to Friday with hours of 7:00AM to 5:30PM. The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license and his or her own transportation to get to site.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Working alongside equipment to excavate hydro trenches, cleaning up construction debris, hand shoveling and racking for rough grade, snow shoveling and tarp removal
  • Other housekeeping duties and responsibilities
  • Ability to take direction from Foreman and team members on site
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • This involves working for our residential clients on site
  • You would be working alongside a crew of 4 to 7 team members and they report directly to the Foreman on site
  • Working in outdoors on a residential construction site, you would be assisting labourers and Foreman
  • Working on field and city projects throughout the City of Ottawa and surrounding areas
  • Proper training will be provided on site with the successful applicant

    • REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 to 2 years of construction related background is required
  • Experience operating equipment would be an asset
  • Valid driver's license with own transportation is required
  • Health and Safety training/Knowledge (Confined Space, trenching and excavation, First Aid/CPR an asset)
  • Ability to work in all different types of weather conditions
  • Experience working in an outdoor construction environment with experience using power tools
  • Potential for weekend work and working nights as needed
