Detailed Overview:

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

The Planning Analyst works as part of a team which supports the Fraser Health Population and Public Health Immunization Program with development, guidance and monitoring of organizational and operational plans.

The Analyst has primary responsibility for supporting the development and/or updating of vaccine logistics and inventory operational planning for the FH PPH program as well as internal and external community vaccine providers to support integrated immunizations.

Supports priorities, objectives, key results, and specific accountability plans directed by government and Fraser Health.

The Program Planning Analyst also provides planning and analytical support for specific planning, strategy and organizational priority initiatives.


Responsibilities:


  • Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates Fraser Health's (FH) vaccine inventory management systems, with particular focus on the requirements of each local public health unit and community physicians while ensuring program needs are met within established standards of practice.
  • In collaboration with the local health unit managers, develops and maintains an inventory of Vaccine Refrigerators and Uninterrupted Power Supply units across health units, with expected life span and replacement dates.
  • Forecasts vaccination access, flow and logistics based on demographics, eligibility and the provincial vaccine program.
  • Supports Fraser Health's annual planning processes through the creation, collection, compilation, analysis and synthesis of relevant and required information (e.g., health system policy and planning requirements and issues, population statistics and forecasts, health status, service utilization, etc.).
  • Supports operational planning, monitoring and reporting requirements through analytical and coordination support and the writing and development of briefing material, presentations and reports.
  • Collects needed data from Fraser Health program areas and systems and generates accurate and concise periodic and ad hoc reports to support operational and strategic program planning.
  • Develops resources, including communication and training guides to support leaders and staff to understand organizational priorities, and to link to operational plans throughout the integrated immunization program.
