Please proceed using the link: > POSITION OVERVIEW:Startec Compression and Process is currently recruiting an Intermediate Process Engineer- Facilities to work at our Glenmore Office location (Suite , Glenmore Court SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 5R8). The Intermediate Process Engineer – Facilities will be responsible for providing process engineering expertise and technical support for all facility projects from FEED stage through detailed engineering to start-up and commissioning. Reporting to the Process Engineering Lead, the Intermediate Process Engineer – Facilities will be responsible for developing and optimizing process simulations, equipment selection and sizing, generating PFDs, HMBs & P&IDs, sizing of control valves, PSVs and flare system, developing process control documents such as process and control narratives and shutdown key (Cause & Effect) while collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure efficient and effective execution of technical requirements.

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):

    DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT (Weighting 50%)

    Process Design & Engineering
  • Provide input and support process design and engineering for Facility projects.
  • Develop block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, heat & material balances, and P&IDs.
  • Optimize process simulations for new projects.
  • Size major equipment, piping, control valves, PSVs, and flare systems.
  • Develop process and control narratives and shutdown keys (Cause & Effect).
  • Participate in HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep the DBM up to date.
  • Prepare LDT and Data Sheets as required.
    • Facilities System integration
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate BOP systems into plant design.
  • Conduct system analyses and simulations to optimize operations, identify bottlenecks, and enhance reliability.

    Process Troubleshooting & Optimization
  • Resolve process issues by collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.
  • Analyze process performance data to optimize efficiency and/or de-bottleneck operations.
