Line Operator Job Summary
Job description
Primary responsibilities:
- Monitor the production process
- Carry out basic quality and testing checks
- Load and unload meat from conveyors
- Pushing & pulling skids and buggies
- Maintain equipment and work areas
- Execute all processing operations
- Maintain process on a daytoday basis to achieve set targets and yield rates at minimum cost.
- Shall be capable of working in other positions and maintain the speeds of the line as set by the documented standards.
Basic requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in food manufacturing, preferably in meat production
- Must be able to communicate (written & verbal) in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of HACCP
- Must be receptive to sudden and frequent changes in priorities
- Must be able to work in a cold environment
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$19.00-$21.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
