We have an immediate opening for a
Help Desk Support Technician to provide frontline computer support and maintenance of Information Technology infrastructure.


Responsibilities:


  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system issues via service requests
  • Work with users and suppliers to collect information about IT problems to determine the source of the problem and find a solution
  • Provide updates on status of support tickets
  • Support users with respect to questions on software and network operating systems
  • Facilitate team member moves, startups and changes and terminations
  • Assist in the installation of desktop computer solutions
  • Ensure hardware is wiped and secured before disposal
  • Research current software/hardware for potential updates, upgrades or impacts
  • Work with the IT Manager, Information Systems and the IT Committee to identify problems and create solutions to prevent unplanned down time

Core Competencies

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience delivering helpdesk related support to end users
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • Microsoft/Cisco certification
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
