Help Desk Support Technician to provide frontline computer support and maintenance of Information Technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system issues via service requests
- Work with users and suppliers to collect information about IT problems to determine the source of the problem and find a solution
- Provide updates on status of support tickets
- Support users with respect to questions on software and network operating systems
- Facilitate team member moves, startups and changes and terminations
- Assist in the installation of desktop computer solutions
- Ensure hardware is wiped and secured before disposal
- Research current software/hardware for potential updates, upgrades or impacts
- Work with the IT Manager, Information Systems and the IT Committee to identify problems and create solutions to prevent unplanned down time
Core Competencies
- A minimum of 2 years' experience delivering helpdesk related support to end users
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- CompTIA A+ certification
- Microsoft/Cisco certification
- Strong troubleshooting skills
