Job Summary:


Reporting to the Administrator, the Campus Program Manager is accountable for overseeing all operational related issues, including; service coordination, service delivery, human resources, financial, and quality improvement and risk management activity.

Providing direct oversight to long term care and community program staff on the campus, in addition to ensuring compliance with Ministry, legislative, and corporate expectation, the Program Manager is responsible for ensuring customer focused program delivery (resident/client) within the Long Term Care Home and Home and Community Care program mandates.


Education:


  • Postsecondary degree in Health or Social Sciences, Business Administration or Recreation and Leisure studies or equivalent disciplines.

Knowledge:


  • At least 3 years of experience working within a Long Term Care Home environment, Assisted Living or Community Support Services environment.
  • At least 3 years of current leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Ontario Health Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Home Care and Community Services Act, and the Longterm Care Homes Act, Residential Tenancies Act; food premises act
  • Knowledge of L-SAA and M-SAA funding agreements, accountabilities, and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of electronic documentation systems (CRMS/ PCC)
  • Food Handler's Certificate
  • Certification in Volunteer Management or equivalent

Responsibilities:


_ Manage LTC and Community Program department (30% of time)_:

  • Provides leadership to all areas of these departments in line with the divisional operations plan and strategic directions, Departmental and Corporate priorities, and the Council Business Plan.
  • Supports the Continuous Quality Improvement of the Campus by completing Inspection Protocols, indicators, annual program evaluations, balanced scorecard, and participating in Accreditation related activities.
