Position Summary


Our Monitoring Centre IT Technician is responsible for deploying and overseeing the set-up of Company Systems, as well as coordinating activities relating to on-site security events.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the deployment and set up of the company's systems including but not limited to: the positioning of cameras, assigning client logins, updating servers
  • Coordinate activities with installation, service, and sales staff to ensure correct monitoring of all sites, including the setup of new sites and updating existing sites, along with data updates
  • Provide remote technical, networking or IT related Tier 1 Support
  • Communicate electronically and inperson with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
  • Work closely with internal resources and thirdparty vendors in resolving hardware/software issues
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • Ensure that all work in the department is performed in accordance with company policies, best practices, and standards
  • Conduct regular department technical reviews and evaluations
  • Ensure clarity and conciseness of Site Protocols; periodically audit sites to ensure customer expectations are clearly reflected in protocols
  • Revise and update Site Surveillance Forms (SSF) with accuracy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Completion of a postsecondary program in IT
  • 12 years of related IT experience in a technical support role

  • Highly detailoriented to ensure that all work performed is of the highest quality and meets all internal and external policy and procedural requirements
  • Technically proficient with respect to IT Troubleshooting, Networking, and Computer Hardware Troubleshooting
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills to quickly identify and address potential operational issues and take the appropriate action with external parties
  • Ability to be flexible in working hours as needed
  • Selfmotivated and committed to constant learning
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment and to manage specific projects in a detailoriented manner
