Altus Group is looking for a new Consultant to join our Toronto office.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing appraisals and consulting reports, focusing on the Land, Public Sector and Dispute Valuation division.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct research and gather data from internal databases and thirdparty sources.
- Review data sources and industry market information, guiding junior staff on sourcing missing information.
- Collaborate with Cost practitioners to assess construction costs for the Cost Approach.
- Audit and enhance data entered into internal databases by junior staff.
- Independently create financial models using Excel for quantitative analysis and valuation models.
- Draft accurate appraisal reports based on market information and practitioner expertise.
- Review and verify the work of junior staff, including qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Perform property inspections and contribute to market studies as needed.
What you will have:
- Undergraduate/Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Real Estate, Business/Commerce, or Economics (3year CEGEP equivalent in Real Estate for QC).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in commercial appraisal/real estate valuation & advisory consulting.
- Excellent knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, market dynamics, and appraisals/valuations.
- Strong research, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in creating financial models using Excel, ARGUS, Dyna, Marshall & Swift, etc.
- Excellent written communication skills for clientready reports.
- Proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite:
Outlook, Excel, Word.- Valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
