WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness and contributing to safety within the office facility.

This position will focus on performing various cleaning tasks and ensuring that the office environment is tidy and conducive to productivity and supporting the broader team.


JOB DUTIES

  • Clean and sanitize all hightouch surfaces, such as handrails, doorknobs
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen area, including countertops, tables and chairs, sinks, small appliances
  • Support staff use of dishwasher when needed, by emptying dishwasher and placing items in proper cupboard, and loading dirty dishes
  • Monthly deep cleaning of kitchen cupboards and refrigerators
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floor, carpeting and rugs
  • Sweep exterior walkways
  • Report any damages or maintenance issues to the manager
  • Assist in minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
  • Sort and dispose of waste according to office recycling procedures
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including but not limited to WHMIS, while performing cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Act as backup company courier when required Assist with setup and cleanup for special events or meetings

Job Requirements:


  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or General Education Development (GED) equivalency
  • Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
  • Ability to meet with physical demands including, walking, climbing stair and ladders, standing, bending, and lifting
  • Good communication and friendly, helpful interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good customer service orientation
  • Personal integrity and pride in quality work, including the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
