Instructor:
School of Computer Science
This job description outlines the workload of the Instructor position in the School of Computer Science in accordance with Article 13.4 ("Instructor Employees") of the Collective Agreement between Carleton University and the Carleton University Academic Staff Association.
4(c), this position has an individual job description as noted below:
The Instructor's principal teaching duty under Article 13.
4(iv) consist of:
1) The delivery of three (3.0) full credits of courses in each academic year (Summer, Fall, Winter)
2) Supervision of B.C.S. Honours projects and B.C.S. Honours theses
3) Course preparation and course development
The Instructor's responsibilities for service include:4) Assist with student recruitment into Bachelor in Computer Science programs
5) Contributing to collegial academic governance and processes through service to the University on committees and other forms of administrative duties and responsibilities
6) Other administrative duties may be assigned by the Academic Head from time to time.
