Utility Worker - General Labour (Nuclear Industry) - multiple openings

Hourly rate of pay: $30.36_

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Perform laboring duties, handling materials and other functions that may be physically demanding in nature.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform grinding operations using various equipment (i.e. handheld grinders, polishers).
Perform basic tube/pipe preparation.
Assist other skilled trades as required (i.e. Welders and Fitters).
Cleaning and sorting of product parts.
Work in a safe manner. Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
Work in accordance with established work orders and procedures.
Complete records and documentation as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven commitment to workplace safety.
Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
Physical agility aimed at performing manual labour.
Previous work experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is an asset.
Must be willing to be assigned to any of the following shifts:
Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon
Thurs)
Afternoons: 4:00 p.m. 2:00 a.m. (Mon
Thurs)
Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)
Weekend nights: 5:00 p.m. 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)
