    Description

    KB Elevate is a cloud-based bookkeeping, accounts payable and payroll service that is part of Kraft Berger LLP Chartered Professional Accountants. Our team remotely manages our clients' full cycle bookkeeping needs through leveraging best-in-class accounting technology and automation.

    Our mission is to provide effective, timely and reliable advice that our clients can use to make their businesses stronger.

    As a member of the KB Elevate team, you'll be using online accounting software and apps to complete the following tasks

    Responsibilities

    • Handling complex components of bookkeeping clients.
    • Assisting the team with resolving accounting and complex bookkeeping matters for clients across multiple industries.
    • Identify potential tax planning opportunities and/or issues for corporate, personal, and sales taxes.
    • Prepare interim reporting packages and HST filings
    • Make recommendations and implement accounting process improvements.
    • Lead a team and delegate tasks to ensure files are completed in a timely and accurate matter.

    Required Experience & Skills

    • 3+ years experience at a public accounting firm or equivalent.
    • Strong knowledge of corporate, personal, and sales tax.
    • Ability to identify recognize potential tax issues. CPA an asset.
    • Prior bookkeeping experience, especially in Cloud software such as QuickBooks Online/Xero, Dext, Plooto, Wagepoint etc. an asset.
    • Tech-savvy and desire to learn.
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
    • Independent, highly motivated, team oriented, and a self-starter.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
    • Proficiency in Caseware is an asset.
    • Organizational skills for prioritizing demands and meeting deadlines.
    • Willingness to contribute ideas for continuous improvement and work as part of a growing team.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
    • Payroll experience considered an asset.
