The Opportunity


Reporting directly to the Coordinator, Facility Operations this role is responsible for maintaining municipal facilities including the new Caledon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment, Town Hall, Fire Administration and other related facilities in order to ensure clean, safe and healthy facilities.


We are recruiting for one Permanant Full-time and one Contract Full-time - 8 Months
As the Associate, Facility Operations, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

  • Support operations including equipment maintenance of fire and life safety, mechanical and electrical systems as well as interior and exterior maintenance and preventative maintenance programs
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs to facility equipment and fixtures as necessary
  • Assist coordination of service contractors to perform required maintenance and service to equipment. Ensure all service contractors meet legislated requirements such as Health & Safety, Workplace Safety & Insurance Board, and insurance
  • Ensure reports and logs are completed for all facility operations.
  • Back up parttime facility and security staff.
  • Oversee onsite contract cleaners. Ensure that contractor cleaners are performing all related tasks as outlined in contract. Provide updates to contract supervisor. Maintain contract services log book. Respond to client inquiries and comments with respect to cleaning and rectify as appropriate
  • Responsible for administering security swipe cards for staff at applicable facilities (i.e. Town Hall) as well as visitors; and provide temporary security access to contractors and visitors
  • Accountable for inventory of cleaning and facility maintenance supplies. Coordinate ordering of supplies through approved vendors
  • Support Coordinator with planned interior and exterior facility maintenance such as painting and general facility repairs. Accountable for ensuring that Town policies and procedures are followed with respect to the Town's procurement processes when coordinating/hiring vendors, suppliers, and/or contractors to complete work
  • Ensure reporting and tracking of computerized systems such as work order systems and building automation systems. Coordinate reports as appropriate
  • Accountable for performing Health & Safety inspections and responding to client requests or recommendations on Health & Safety matters. Ensure inspections are recorded and filed accordingly
We are seeking an energetic professional with four (4) years of experience in facilities operations or maintenance role.

This position offers a salary range of $64, $76,160.37 plus a competitive benefit package.
