Position Summary:
Providing children with accessible, stage appropriate programming is the primary goal
of the Nitros Development Program. North Toronto Soccer is committed to ensuring
that every child is afforded the opportunity to be part of a program that considers the
holistic development of the individual.
This position is primarily responsible for coaching grassroots players aged years
old who are registered to the Club's U- U10 Grassroots Program. This individual will
deliver inclusive, stage appropriate training programs in line with North Toronto
Soccer's development philosophy and technical operations plan.
The Nitros Development Program does not focus on the development of teams, but
rather the development of each individual player. Our coaches work with players of all
abilities.
This position typically consist of twenty (20) hours on-field work and twenty (20) hours
of management work per week. Due to the nature of the work there will be a balance
between working remotely and working from the club locations. It is expected that a
predictable work schedule is maintained to contribute to the professionalism of North
Toronto Soccer.
Evening and weekend work is expected.
The position includes paid vacation days to be taken at a time which is agreed upon by
the Club.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coach age groups within the Club's Nitros Development Program (U
- U10) in line
- Plan and execute training sessions in line with the Club Training Methodology and
- age group objectives
- Support Technical Management with the development and implementation of parent
and the Club Player Pathway
- Ensure accurate records are maintained to track the development of players
- Complete Player Feedback reports as per the Technical Operations Plan
- Work with Technical Management and the Club Administrator to ensure effective
- Attend preseason festivals/events each year at the discretion of Technical
- Management
- Ensure regular communication exists with the Manager, Recreational Programs to
access the NDP Program

Experience:
- Experience working in youth soccer at the Grassroots stages (U8-U12)
- Experience working with young children

- Experience working as part of a team to implement curricula
- Experience creating technical resources
Training:
- C License preferred
- Children's License preferred
- Respect in Soccer (RIS)
- Making Ethical Decisions (MED)
- Making Headway
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to connect and motivate young children
- Knowledge of Canada Soccer's LTPD model
- Demonstrated commitment to the holistic development of youth players
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and ensure deadlines are met
Salary & Benefits:
This is a contract position with a competitive hourly rate based on experience and
qualifications.
