Job Summary:

Do you have a strong attention to detail and a desire to ensure products retain the highest quality standards? If so, become a valuable member of our team as a production worker


In this role you will start off with the Grinder position, inspecting products as they come out of the machinery, removing any defective pieces and providing finishing touches on the rest using the tools available.

You will use your ongoing knowledge of how the machinery works to ensure that it remains functional by performing routine maintenance, cleaning and repairs.

Problem-solving skills are crucial as you keep the machinery running and reduce any potential gaps in production.

We are looking for fast-paced, productive goal-oriented individuals.


Core Responsibilities:
_Include but are not limited to,_

  • Transporting bins of castings to grinding station.
  • Checks castings for defects such as lumps, blows, holes, cracks, etc. and places defective castings in designated scrap area.
  • Lifts castings by hand or hoist and grinds off fins, lumps, gates or risers.
  • Uses hand tools as required to remove fins, lumps, etc.
  • Gauge castings as required.
  • Identify castings for rework as required.
  • Places ground castings on belt conveyor, in bins or shipping crates as required.
  • Dresses grinding wheels with wheel dresser and adjusts tool rest when required.
  • Applies lab metal as directed.
  • Follows safety policies and procedures including use of PPE.
  • Performs basic mathematical calculations and uses common sense in order to read and understand instructions or directions on printed materials.
  • Cleans and greases equipment as required.
  • Clean work area & keep organized.
  • Major cleanup of spilled sand. Shoveling, sweeping, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Shift:


-Monday to Friday (8 hours)

-Rotating Shift (Rotation Every 2 weeks)
-
Days (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
-
Evenings (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
-
Nights (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

Shift premiums included.
