Job Purpose:

Our Leduc facility are looking for Shop Hands to join the team. Shop Hands are responsible for general facility up-keep, maintenance and organization of equipment, vehicles, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • General facility up-keep, maintenance and organization
  • Wash equipment that comes back from field
  • General maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of a hand truck
  • Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies
  • General assembly work that may require operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools
  • Inspects all assembly parts and reports defective material or questionable component conditions to management
  • Provide assistance to the facility manager
  • Assist with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated
  • General housekeeping of the facility
  • Other general labor duties as required

Qualification and Educational Requirements:


  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Previous washing or shop laborer experience
  • Previous Forklift/ front end loader/ Crane experience would be considered an asset
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 100lbs for extended periods of time
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and customer service
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Selfmotivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively under tight deadlines
  • Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills
