About the Role
The
Branch Manager is responsible for directing, maintaining, and controlling the branch location. Monitoring daily performance objectives and ensuring all profitability targets and recommended margin levels are met. Coaching and developing quality team members and providing a safe and comfortable working environment.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Manage the operations of the branch, including sales, warehousing, expenses, budgeting and inventory
  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain and grow the business
  • Hire, train, manage and develop employees
  • Maintain and promote an active and professional display area within the branch
  • Ensure a high level of customer service. Respond to customers' needs in an efficient, accurate and professional manner
  • Build key customer relationships, including site visits and assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
  • Participate in customer calls for sales and technical support
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships
  • Resolve daytoday issues where management decisions are required
  • Represent the company within the industry and local community
  • Implement company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably in a sales/distribution environment. Previous Management experience is required.
  • 5+ years of electrical industry experience
  • Proven ability to develop and lead employees in a successful manner
  • Leadership skills required team building, motivating, ability to effectively listen to employees and give feedback
  • High school diploma required
  • College/University Diploma (Business, Sales & Marketing, or Technical focus).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required
