What you'll be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Fusion Response, the Fusion Response Analyst is responsible providing incident response efforts on issues and escalations to Fusion from key security partners (Corporate Security, Information Security, Fraud Management) or other lines of business during situations / issues which have elevated risk exposure and / or the potential to escalate into major business incidents with adverse impacts.
The work covers incidents which can carry significant risk that, if not addressed appropriately, could result in customer/employee impact, costs to recover and/or reputational/regulatory/legal/compliance impact.
These incidents can involve issues which are rapidly evolving/changing and complex, requiring a need for creativity/innovation and lateral thinking to address unique operational issues and concerns.
The role will work with people at all levels in the organization and expectations include a hands-on teamwork approach to solving problems.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
- typically of a high-level tactical nature, to management / senior management and client groups, when dealing with incidents and organizational / business issues. Provide guidance, technical and consultative support by providing input, and analysis in the resolution of Fusion incidents. Typically this requires the coordination of complex investigations, including research and analysis of threats and issues impacting / facing CIBC.
- Oversee and organize operational activity in relation to higherrisk incidents / complex incidents
- Assist in the development of Fusion's incident management capability
- Work cross functionally within a diverse group of stakeholders
- In turn with other team members, lead the Fusion Daily Briefing which brings key CIBC stakeholders together from across the key security domains and enables effective information sharing across the CIBC security community. Share information and provide briefings to colleagues as appropriate. Promote a shared sense of mission to protect our clients and our bank through a culture of information sharing and collaboration.
You have influencing skills to shape the development of solutions or the operating culture - to obtain support of operational teams and elicit cooperation and consensus.
You also have skills in managing internal and external relationships, and are a pro-active self-starter who brings a sense of urgency to the role.- Technical Skills.
You have working knowledge of incident management processes and strong awareness of CIBC's internal policies, procedures and practices.You also have excellent working knowledge of one or more of the domains of Fraud Management, Information Security (cyber) or Corporate Security, and have a strong understanding of the connection points between information security, physical security, legal and fraud operations to ensure holistic response to cross-pillar issues.- Goal Driven.
