- Performs electrical maintenance/repairs of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. May include maintenance of electronic or solid-state controls of the plant machinery. Candidate must possess working knowledge of the National Electric Code
- Repairs, installs, inspects and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes
- Read and interpret blueprints/drawings (abbreviations, symbols for machining/welding/assembly, tolerances)
- Clearly communicate completed tasks by means of producing a daily log (verbal/written/computerized)
- The job is within a plastic environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the facility
- Safety is our highest priority, and safety procedures and guidelines must be adhered to at all times, such as lock out / tag out and machine guarding control
- This includes wearing personal protective equipment, such as a hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection and safety shoes at all times during a work shift
- Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team environment
- A valid Electrician trade license (309A/ 442A)
- Experience working in the plastic manufacturing industry an asset
- Willing and able to work rotational shifts plus additional overtime as required
- Exhibit the ability to work in a challenging environment
- Fabrication experience and ability to weld in all positions
- Strong communication skills including the ability to work independently with minimum supervision, or within a team environment
- Able to work rotating shifts to support a continuous operation
