Basic Function:

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, located in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a full-time Site Operational Excellence Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Training and Performance.

The Site Operational Excellence Analyst has the overall responsibility for effective administration, maintenance, development, coordination and continuous improvement of processes and practices for the Operations Department at the Mississauga Lubricants Facility, with the primary areas of focus on Operations Training, Conduct of Operations web-based processes and business-critical records management.


Job Duties:


  • Acts as the site focal point for effective administration, maintenance, sustainable development and continuous improvement of Operations Department documents, business critical records and webbased processes on the Operations Department SharePoint page
  • Manage and maintain operations training material
  • Coordinate training for operations employees
  • Perform key tasks to ensure effective and accurate administration of the hourly operations Performance Based Progression training program, including consistent creation, recording, updating and maintenance of the training content and assessments
  • Prepare training documents for publishing, by performing quality checks and various levels of formatting and editing
  • Assist in the development and maintenance, of new training and exam requirements for hourly recertification
  • Administer within the Learning Management System, with respect to Operations Training curricula and content
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting, as requested
  • Support the Operations Training Network processes and initiatives, such as operator training, operations projects and initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement in the implementation of Conduct of Operations practices and processes


Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.


Experience:


  • A minimum of 6 years of jobrelated experience is required
  • Experience working as an internal service provider for a refinery or other industrial business is an asset
  • Experience administering in a document control system and/or Learning Management System is preferred
  • Experience with handling business critical records is preferred
  • Experience developing training materials and webbased content is preferred

Education Level:


  • Post-Secondary education or a trades Certificate of Qualification
  • Post-Secondary education in business, health and safety or a technical field is preferred

Required Skills:


  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of company and safety policies and procedures
  • Highly organized in prioritizing work, multitasking and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven track record of accuracy
  • Excellent ability to proofread, edit and format complex documents
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal communications, both inperson and virtually
  • Excellent judgement and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Must be a selfstarter with the ability to work in a collaborative teambased environment,
  • Able to build strong, positive and respectful relationships with diverse groups, at all levels of the organization
  • Able to demonstrate positive safety behaviors
  • Able to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
  • Capable of creative thinking and problem solving
  • Track record of taking initiative and working towards continuous improvement
  • Technical writing skills is an asset
  • Able to develop training delivery tools and learner assessment tools for training initiatives is preferred
  • Able to develop content in SharePoint and Visio is an asset

Work Conditions:


  • This position is located in a 24/7 manufacturing plant and at times experiences increased workload during a compressed period in advance of or upon completion of planned major outages for maintenance purposes.
  • The incumbent works in an office environment. A large portion of the work requires sitting long periods at a computer terminal performing data entry.
