Location
Red Deer, AB


Hours
The expected work hours run 8:00am until 5:00pm Monday through Friday with the occasional weekend. Overtime may be required according to business needs. You will be eligible for overtime in accordance with Provincial Legislation.


Responsibilities:


A construction labourer will assist electricians with the installation of solar racking and modules on residential and commercial buildings in central Alberta.


Duties

  • Loading and unloading construction materials, & moving them to work areas
  • Installing and removing ladders, control zones and fall arrest systems on rooftops
  • The installation, alignment, and fastening of materials and performing related activities
  • Removing rubbish, recycle and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
  • Operating manual and powered hand tools
  • Directing traffic at or near construction sites
  • Working outdoors in inclement weather conditions

Skills and Qualifications

  • Class 5 driver's licence
  • CSTS 2020
  • Appropriate safety training, first aid and fall protection would be an asset
  • Some knowledge or capacity to learn electrical construction & safety concerns
  • A quality mindset and attention to detail are important
  • Reliable transportation to site

Additional Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assisting electrical in their tasks where required
