Description
The Mould Maker builds modifies and repairs large sized injection moulds.

Position lay out, machine, fit, assemble, and finish metal parts to make, modify, or repair moulds according to tool design.

The position interprets the part design into a three-dimensional solid object. The position will also test, repair and deliver moulds, components and tooling of various types and sizes.

  • Build, modify and repair large sized injection moulds
  • Lay out, machine, fit, assemble, and finish metal parts to make, modify, or repair moulds according to tool design
  • Verify that customer specifications and company standards are met during the performance of your task(s)
  • Provide input for the nonconformance process to provide accurate, detailed documentation of all issues, nonconformances or constraints that cause rework or tool delay and understand why this has occurred
  • Plan and organize efficient work flow for assigned tasks
  • Maintain safety, quality, 5S, and efficiency for assigned areas
  • Documentation all issues, nonconformances or constraints that cause rework or tool delay and understand why this has occurred
  • Travel internationally as required for training, benchmarking or investigational purposes
  • Participate in and support Continuous Improvement and WCM initiatives
  • Adhere to applicable quality systems and Support the total Management System (MAFACT, WCM, ISO9001)
  • Perform formal/informal workplace inspections

Education:


  • Minimum completion of Grade 12 diploma
  • College diploma in a Trade or Technical Field, or equivalent experience, an asset
  • Able to obtain a Crane and Forklift license

Experience:


  • Experience in the automotive industry preferably in an injection moulding environment, an asset

Skills:


  • Knowledge of mold making/build practices, standards and expectations
  • Knowledge of NX and GSS software
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and Outlook, an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with good organizational and time management skills
  • Resultsoriented and able to work under pressure
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills

Job Types:

Salary:
$22.00-$35.00 per hour
