Position Summary:


Reporting to the Director, New Business Development and Revenue Diversification, the Manager, Revenue Diversification and New Business Development has a directive to increase flexibility and adaptability of current revenue streams, introduce net new revenue sources that are non-passenger reliant and grow non-passenger revenues.

This position will collaborate, be strategic and committed to generating new revenue sources and leading the case and execution programs for a variety of commercial and investment decisions for Toronto Pearson.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Demonstrate and develop a vast network to generate and identify sustainable and mutuallybeneficial partnerships and new business opportunities by completing market scans to identify prospective new business partners, investment and diversification opportunities
  • Undertake analysis to help identify and target new industry or market opportunities and stay connected with the business to identify potential opportunities
  • Complete initial feasibility assessments to present and sell the merits of the opportunity, prioritize opportunities across evaluation criteria
  • Develop the plan to advance prioritized initiatives with target achievements and timelines, lead and take responsibility for progress through the full pipeline
  • Work collaboratively with partners to establish strategy to pursue new business development opportunities including target partners/sectors/markets and approach to market
  • Lead the 'to market approach' including development of material, documents, to market approach, and establish crossfunctional teams to successfully implement
  • Ensure revenue diversification and investment opportunities move through all stages by completing rigorous due diligence, while keeping key partners and parties informed of approach, analysis and status
  • Develop and present seniorlevel presentations and complex business cases for input, feedback, direction and decision
  • Support, and in some cases create, the development of financial models to test various sensitivities and provide thorough analysis to inform and ultimately deliver flexible and wellconsidered proposals/deals
  • Work collaboratively with various departments across the organization to support and in some cases lead the implementation and transition of new initiatives to business units as they become operationalized
  • Participate in setting annual team goals, targets and objectives
  • Lead budget, track specific initiatives and associated revenue and costs from concept to implementation
  • Responsible for being a customer centric Leader with respect to the Mission, Vision, Values and Beliefs

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary degree with a concentration in Business/Commerce, Economics, Finance or Marketing and/or 5 of years of combined equivalent work experience and education
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic growth/sales, business development, marketing or similar field
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in People Management (direct report or crossfunctional)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer centric environment
  • Obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong eye for business and communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and project management skills are required in order to maintain existing relationships, develop new relationships and work effectively in a multistakeholder environment
  • Proven track record to develop a positive and collaborative team environment, and work in partnership with multiple collaborators internally and externally, at varying seniority levels
  • Creative and innovative problem solver, coupled with a proactive, resourceful and determined approach to problem solving and driving results
  • Comfortable with ambiguity or new situations
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong experience of partner management
  • Ability to think strategically, critically and crossenterprise
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and word
