Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Lead is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for various projects and business units.

They are responsible for leading or supervising a team of Buyers and Order Administrators in day to day procurement activities.

How will you contribute to the team?

Lead Procurement Activities for a Project.
Review purchasing documents.
Supervise and Mentor Buyers/Order Administrators.
Interface with Project Management.
Lead Supplier negotiations and Kickoff Meetings for procurement.
Create and Issue Procurement packages.
Interface with the Client for Review and Approval of Procurement packages.
Ensure procurement data integrity and project status updates at all times.
Oversee completion of nonconformances.
Periodic supplier/ shop oversight visits.
Resolve supply chain issues as they arise.

What will you contribute?

Minimum 10 years experience in Buying/Expediting complex Procurement packages or equivalent.
Knowledge in Manufacturing, experience at supplier facilities.
Knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
Experience in supplier negotiations.
Experience in Quality program standards and processes related to supply chain (All levels).
Understanding of the financial system, invoicing/milestone payments, Levels of Authority, Ethics/Compliance/Integrity Controls, HSE Requirements/ Complex Service contracts including Construction contracts and union trades.
Post-Secondary Education preferred.

SCMP certification or enrolment in SCMP programs is desirable.

Knowledge of Contract Law and competitive bidding best practices.
Required to Mentor Junior Buyers and Procurement Administrators.
Lead and supervise Procurement activities for Projects and Business Units.
May be required to travel or work at Project sites.
