Senior Geologist
We are seeking an individual to fulfill the responsibilities of a
Senior Geologist
on our Exploration team.
This role is responsible for overseeing geotechnical activities as well as the development of exploration targets within the company's asset base.
The successful candidate will add to Spartan's dynamic, technical and commercially focused culture.What You Will Do
Design, implement and manage specialized workflows for both the development of current assets as well as identify and evaluate additional opportunities.
Conduct subsurface assessments of resources potential on our existing land base as well as new areas.Recommend new prospects and drilling locations to management to continue adding to our high-quality inventory.
Assist with corporate inventory and reserves, aligning the total inventory with the drilling schedule to ensure that the best possible locations are always being drilled.
Tend to the needs of company tenure as it relates to expiries, pooling, and other land requirements.Who You Are
Member of APEGA in good standing
Bachelor of Science degree in Geology
10+ years of well-rounded exploration and development experience is preferred
Knowledge of various play types within Western Canada
Proficient in both Geoscout and Petra; Petrel experience is an asset but not required
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and ability to fit into the fast-paced Spartan culture.
