We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated
Yard Forklift Operator to join our growing team in our Distribution Centre pipe yard located in Clarkson, DC.

You will be responsible for accurately and quickly servicing a very demanding client base while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in the industry Must have a positive attitude and work well with others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Picking, transfers and sales orders in an accurate and proficient manner
Loading Flatbed trailers with a combination of Pipe and Skids meeting MTO / Location Standards
Training is provided
Perform Daily Safety Pre-Inspections of your Propane Counterbalance Forklift
Work proficiently against Productivity and Quality targets
Correctly build the products onto pallets, and prepare the pallets for shipping
Work proficiently against Productivity and Quality targets
Maintain a strict housekeeping standard, while following General facility and Yard housekeeping, as assigned
Follow all Distribution Center best practices and procedures to ensure safety, quality and meet all service objectives.
Follow all D.C. rules and regulations
Following established corporate guidelines (SOP's) for picking, receiving etc.
Report safety and security issues to your direct supervisor
Other duties as assigned by Supervisors (Lead, DCC, DCM)
Communicate stock errors and discrepancies clearly and effectively with team members
All of the above will be performed in various weather

Requirements:

Completion of a highschool Diploma (OSSD)
Minimum 2year experience operating Counterbalance Forklifts
Minimum 2year experience working in a Yard distribution environment
Proven ability supporting/working with RF equipment and remote printers
Accurate and detail oriented
Skilled in managing competing priorities and problem solving under mínimal supervision
Ability to be dependable, punctual, and proactive to meet deadlines
Must have necessary certifications for specific machinery (Example: Order Picker, Raymond Reach, Counterbalance)
Must be available and capable of performing full duties of the position on the anticipated start date.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Incumbent spends most of their time in our Yard environment requiring varying degrees of considerable physical labor as an operator, involves at times performing in unfavorable or difficult weather conditions (extreme heat in the summer and rain/snow fall in winter).

Yard workers need to be prepared and equipped to perform despite difficult work conditions. Lifting, pulling and pushing varied amount of products weighing between 5-50lbs. May include ad-hoc functions such as: cycle counts, 5S, etc.

Personal safety is affected by dust and traffic caused by other forklift operators, operators need to be visually attentive of their surroundings.
