- Develop and execute risk-based audit plans to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies and regulations, and the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Lead and conduct internal audits across various business functions, including finance, operations, IT, and compliance.
- Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans for management's review and follow-up.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations and monitor progress to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks to continuously enhance the internal audit program.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring the success of the internal audit function.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, or related field, preferably in a publicly traded company or Big 4 accounting firm.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of internal control concepts, risk assessment methodologies, and auditing standards (e.g., COSO, SOX).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical solutions.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing audit engagements and mentoring junior staff.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
