    Position Information Position Title Part-Time Academic: LEIS 1130 Foundations and Concepts of Therapeutic Recreation - Winter Posting Number PTAP2418P Department/Unit Health & Human Performance Location Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Job Summary & Key Responsibilities (LEIS 1130: Foundations and Concepts of therapeutic Recreation) - Winter 2025

    For a detailed description of each course, please refer to the course description in the 2024/25 Academic Calendar (timetable listings subject to change). The successful applicant is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class including planning and directing classroom-based activities, marking assignments, and providing tutorial support to the students as required during the respective terms.

    Please note: As we are unable to reschedule courses or their location, please refer to the academic timetable before applying for this position to ensure it will fit with your schedule Qualifications/Requirements of Position Graduate degree in Kinesiology, Health Promotion or Recreation and Leisure Studies with demonstrated teaching ability preferred.

    Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential and demonstrated teaching ability is preferred
