Position Description / Area Description


Reporting to the Lead, Learning Technologies, the Learning Technologies Support Coordinator (LTSC) provides coordination and support for the effective identification, implementation, and integration of training and development opportunities for staff and students in the learning ecosystem at NAIT.


This role will require the incumbent to build an understanding of the learning technology training needs of the institution and identify, investigate, and share key resources that support the use of these technologies.

As the Learning Technologies Support Coordinator, you will also be required to keep abreast of the field of knowledge and best practices for learning technologies training and support to champion a robust and flexible learning environment at NAIT.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordination of Training and Professional Development Initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Learning Technologies team to Investigate & recommend new training opportunities for both staff and students
  • Participate in or lead training & development projects related to professional development for learning technologies and related processes
  • Identify, engage & seek feedback from stakeholders
  • Coordinate access to training information and resources
Technology Support & Facilitation

  • Collaborate with members of the Learning Technologies team to identify, establish & support the implementation of training goals
  • Support LMS administration process review and changes as well as identifying related training requirements
  • Collaborate with units and key stakeholders across NAIT to identify and implement training initiatives for learning technologies
  • Provide learning technology administration support during periods of peak volume

Skills & Abilities:


  • Advanced understanding of learning technologies and their use in the postsecondary context
  • Project management/oversight skills
  • Strong analysis and creative problemsolving skills
  • Ability to engage stakeholders to understand their technical & business needs
  • Experience supporting learning technology users
Strong understanding of NAIT's program and school structure

  • Ability to learn new learning technologies and how they interact with curriculum and processes at NAIT
  • Strong oral and written skills as well as interpersonal and customer relations skills

Qualifications:


  • Related Postsecondary certificate and/or diploma
  • 3 years' minimum experience working with learning technologies in a postsecondary context
  • Strong track record of learning technologies support and training coordination in a postsecondary context

Remuneration:
$2, $3,109.48 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package
