School of Business and Media is seeking a
temporary, part-time (0.27 FTE
)

Faculty from September 2024 to late December 2024 to teach a real estate financing class in the Real Estate option of the Marketing Management diploma.

This class is taught one weekday per week, between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, in person and on campus in Burnaby.

Duties & Responsibilities

The hiring committee is seeking a real estate and finance expert with a passion for teaching and learning and strong commitment to ensuring students develop applied skills and specialized knowledge. Applicants should have 8+ years of experience in real estate lending including residential marketplace as well as the complex commercial lending market.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Marketing credential required; BCIT business diploma an asset.
A minimum of 8 years proven success working in related roles.
Instructional experience at a polytechnic or similar applied institution is preferred; and/or experience with professional coaching or other adult learning environments.
An established network of relevant professional contacts in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, and beyond.
Excellent Englishlanguage communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a collegial environment.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $63,150 $110,238 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
