- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to decide on wiring layouts.
- Cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures and fixtures.
- Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
- Position, support , and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, fire alarms, lighting controls, and auto backup generators.
- Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
- Hold a Journeyperson Electrician ticket.
- Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSTS, and WHMIS safety tickets are mandatory.
- Hand tools are required.
- Experience in an industrial facility is required.
- Valid driver's license and clean 5-year driver's abstract (under 5 demerits).
- Have high regard for personal safety, company assets, and employees.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.

FLINT is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician for our Fort Saskatchewan, AB maintenance team. This role involves ensuring electrical systems' safe and reliable operation through maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
The position runs from May to August 2024, with potential for extension, offering 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday and benefits after 300+ hours worked. This role is ideal for local Fort Saskatchewan candidates with industrial facility experience seeking a meaningful role close to home. While the role does not include travel, living out allowance, or relocation assistance, we welcome and encourage applications from those willing to relocate independently.
