We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our Timmins Construction & Forestry location. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction, aggregate/crushing units, pavers/compaction, and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy-duty equipment
Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
Dismantle, repair, and assemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications
Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities
Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment
Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
Prepare electronic inspection and service reports
Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
Other duties as required

Required Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Proven computer and technical aptitude for diagnostics and calibration work
Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure
Strong communication skills, demonstrating an appreciation of customer needs
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
Commitment to high-quality customer service with a strong people orientation
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
