***: The Manager, Marketing will implement all marketing deliverables of the AHL team, Abbotsford Canucks, and the Abbotsford Centre. They will oversee the Marketing team and execute all campaigns contained within the marketing plan that support the goals and initiatives of the Abbotsford Canucks and Abbotsford Centre.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Other duties may be assigned as required)

  • In collaboration with the COO, develop an annual marketing plan, and execute details of the plan to drive ticket sales, member retention, partnership marketing, corporate partnership, retail, hospitality, Premium Experience, Human Resources and fan engagement departments initiatives
  • Lead the Marketing function and oversee the daytoday supervision, growth, and development of all team members
  • Act as the lead champion of the digital marketing process and support the development and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Liaise with the Content, Creative, and Game Operations stakeholders to develop marketing collateral aligned to campaign goals and overall brand standards
  • Work in concert with the brand stakeholders to develop annual brand theme and maintain brand standards throughout all fan touchpoints
  • Support all paid and contrabased marketing relationships with thirdparty vendors including local and regional media organizations
  • Support the development and management of all digital properties including web, social, and mobile
  • Grow our fan base within identified target segments and execute targeted campaigns to improve overall affinity and loyalty
  • Execute the ticket marketing strategy with focus on casual sales and manage the daytoday planning, execution, and reporting on the performance of all marketing platforms (both traditional and digital mediums)
  • Enhance and manage the overall experience of season ticket member personal and online experiences to maximize retention and new memberships
  • Work with CSE departments in Vancouver and Abbotsford to align resources and maximize efficiencies.
  • Responsible for hockey team radio broadcast and live stream relationship and strategy
  • Provide support in executing Press Releases in collaboration with Media Relations team in Vancouver.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A postsecondary degree or diploma from a recognized institution in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 5+ years of experience in leadership of sales and marketing teams; experience within sports marketing preferred
  • Experience in professional hockey and concerts marketing an asset
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to work closely and cooperatively with internal and external clients at all levels
  • Experience leading a team direction, focusing effort, and driving passion and motivation towards the realization of department goals and objectives
  • Highlyorganized and detailoriented individual with outstanding administrative and time management skills
  • Experience compiling reports and giving presentations to senior executives
  • Skills driving both highly analytical as well as highly creative ideas to improve overall customer experiences
  • Available and able to work weekends and evenings to support events
