WHAT YOU'LL DO:


Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, and with a strong focus on providing a professional and responsive client and stakeholder experience, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for providing leadership and consultative support for all Human Resources activities, including but not limited to HR Operations, Employee & Labour Relations, Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards, for a portfolio of Health Centre departments.

The HRBP is also responsible for the day-to-day management of one (1) Union partnership for the Health Centre.


The HRBP works as part of the HR team within the Human Resources Division to ensure the team's work plan and the organization's vision, mission, values and strategic directions are implemented.

The HRBP provides regular operational supervision and direction to the Human Resources Coordinators (HRCs) including training, coaching and development.

In consultation with the Manager, the HRBP collaborates on completing the performance appraisal for the HRC(s) assigned to their portfolio.

The HRBP interacts with the HR Assistant as needed.


The HRBP consults with the Manager and HR Leads as appropriate on escalated and/or complex matters with the potential for broad, organization-wide impact as well as the implementation of programs.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management
  • Graduate degree in a related field
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) in good standing
  • Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) in good standing preferred

WHO YOU ARE:

Minimum of five years' experience working in progressively complex positions in Human Resources

Demonstrated recent experience as a generalist in a broad range of Human Resources' practices (e.g., Recruitment & Retention, Employee & Labour Relations, Training and Development, Compensation, Organizational Effectiveness, Conflict Resolution, Issues management, Accommodations)

Demonstrated commitment to staying current with HR best practices through personal reading, hands-on experience, courses, seminars and/or ongoing education

Demonstrated initiative and being solution focused

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders/clients.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at a time.

Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives within specified time frames.

Demonstrated knowledge of program planning, development, facilitation, and evaluation.
