    Job Responsibility:

    General Description This position will be responsible and accountable for ensuring Yellowknife Catholic Schools develops and delivers quality education curricula and programs supporting skilled trades and career development for students. This includes planning, researching, developing, and instructing career and technological curricula and building community relationships concerning career and technical programming and curriculum. Required Education and Recommended Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience Must hold, or be eligible for a(n) NWT Teaching Certificate Bachelor of Education Degree Masters Degree in school administration (or related field) is an asset Minimum 3 years in a school-based administration role or equivalent leadership experience Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in curriculum development, design and implementation Demonstrate knowledge of the local labour market, career programs and business community Experience providing leadership across curricular areas aligned with the British Columbia curriculum is an asset Experience in leading a team of people towards school and/or district goals. Experience working collaboratively with school administration and staff Bilingual (English/French) is an asset A Vulnerable Sector Check is required Required Skills and Abilities Written communication skills for a variety of areas including correspondence, policy, and curriculum documents. Ability to work cooperatively in team situations including with members from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Excellent networking and community relations skills Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently and effectively. Demonstrate exemplary leadership, presentation, and organization skills.
