Position and Responsibilities

Education and Qualifications

  • Possess a relevant engineering degree, technical college diploma, or trade certification
  • 810 years relevant experience in a leadership position
  • Demonstrated knowledge and detailed use of asset maintenance and reliability principles and key performance indicators
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to achieve results
  • Experience managing unionized employees
  • Clear criminal background check

Assets:

  • Certification by a recognized body such as the SMRP (Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals
  • CMRP designation) or the PEMAC (Plant Engineering & Maintenance Association of Canada
  • MMP designation)
  • Superior knowledge of SAP PM module or a similar Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Knowledge and experience with thermography, vibration, ultrasonics, oil analysis etc.
  • Strong MS-Office skills, in particular advanced Excel analytical skills
