Niagara Health is entering a time of great opportunity and we are looking for exceptional individuals to be part of our extraordinary team and future that includes a focus on digital health technologies that scale both within and far beyond the traditional walls of the hospital.

As Niagara Health advances its' work in digital transformation and prepares for the implementation of a new Health Information System (HIS), a number of planning initiatives and activities will be implemented, including standardization of documents and procedures, workflow analysis, and other preparatory activities, to ensure organizational success.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work closely with the Manager
  • Project Control Office
  • HIS and other HIS team members to create project work plans in coordination with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan, schedule and manage project scope, deliverables, timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Ability to estimate development efforts and define activities to support project deliverables and establish milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Develop, manage and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Manage the daily operational aspects of a project providing project management expertise and guidance, enforcing project standards, anticipating and troubleshooting issues and minimizing the hospital's exposure to risk.
  • Collaborate and facilitate requirements gathering within a multidisciplinary team environment, including executives, managers, clinicians, business teams, technical stakeholders, and vendors.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, coaching and negotiation.
  • Excellent ability to anticipate and analyze risks and issues, explore alternatives, develop appropriate recommendations with project and technical teams and present issue to leadership
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues clearly, both verbally and through written communications
  • Resilience and ability to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles, and reach high levels of performance when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 5+ years project management experience or equivalent required
  • Experience in managing more technical projects including data archiving/migration and analytics
  • Community College or University degree specializing in business, project management or a health related field
  • Experience leading and successfully implementing clinical transformation projects in a healthcare setting and/or complex technical implementations (integration, infrastructure, devices) an asset
  • CAPM or PMP designation required
  • Other certification (Lean/Six-Sigma Black Belt, ITIL, IIBA, Change Management) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems, interfaces, HL7, ITIL, and/or enterprise architecture an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including MS Project and SharePoint
  • Full vaccination in accordance with Niagara Health's Vaccination Policy.
