Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Nurse Scheduling Manager, the Scheduling Clerk, in collaboration with the Coordinators of Patient Services (CPSs), assists in the maintenance of Direct Service Staff* schedules by entering data in to the ESP scheduling system, assigning, scheduling and communicating with Direct Service Staff, and other relevant disciplines at SMHC.
- Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Licenced Practical Nurses, Psychiatric Nursing Assistants 1, and Psychiatric Nursing Assistants 2
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months' experience scheduling staff in a large 24hour environment.
- Experience with ESP Timekeeping preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment/familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Data entry experience preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):
- Completion of a high school or equivalent program of studies: formal training in applied office skills required.

- Ability to interpret collective agreements, acts, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and negotiation skills that result in winwin outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Intermediate computer skills including keyboarding, as well as Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
