    Description

    FRONT END UI DEVELOPER

    Aversan Inc. is a reputable Engineering Company that provides expertise in Systems Integration, Product Design/Development and Software/Product Testing for highly regulated industries including Digital Health, Medical Devices, IT and Aerospace. We are currently looking for a skilled Front End UI Developer to work on cutting-edge technology products; someone who will be part of a dynamic and technically advanced work environment that thrives in a collaborative workplace atmosphere.

    Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid)

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build cloud native User-interface (UI) front-end software, using various UI technologies and related tools.
    • Implement coding/implementation best practices to create elegant, resilient, and reusable code.
    • Follow security best practices within projects.
    • Engage in creating unit test cases, integration & performance testing for the UI.
    • Enhance existing front-end automation test suite and tooling.
    • Participate in application deployment, testing/integration, and issue resolution.
    • Manage project source code repository in Git.
    • Document, manage, and uphold internal knowledge and processes.
    • Take part in sprint planning and retrospective meetings, user story creation, and task allocation.
    • Collaborate with UX Designers to implement and validate user experience concepts.
    • Provide feedback to enhance Customer-centric feature documentation.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
    • 5 years of Angular (9 or 16) proficiency in new and existing projects.
    • Proficient in web markup, protocol, and client-side scripting technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, REST API, Angular, React.
    • 5 years' experience focusing on modern User Interface (UI) front-end application development.
    • Minimum of 5 years developing business-to-business UI's with Angular, JavaScript, Typescript.
    • Experience in web services and standards: REST, HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
    • Design and develop RESTful services and APIs.
    • Programming background in Java, specifically with Springboot framework.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills in a web-based cloud environment.
    • Knowledge of relational SQL databases like MySQL & Postgres.
    • Extensive experience in building highly secure web-based UI applications adhering to industry standards.
    • Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Gitlab, Teamcity, Terraform, and Git CI/CD pipelines.
    • Background working with Linux and Linux-based applications.
    • Experience with unit test development and test automation using tools like Jasmine, Selenium, Protractor.
    • Familiarity with Agile/SAFe development methodology.
    • Experience/knowledge with cloud providers GCP or AWS.
    • Understanding of code quality & analysis tools, and monitoring tools like Datadog or Splunk.
    • Experience in security, identity management, and monitoring frameworks.
    • Knowledge of cryptographic concepts and technologies for data protection.
    • Experience with CI/CD automated deployment pipelines and associated technologies.
    • Management of docker containers in a kubernetes environment.
    • Networking and cloud infrastructure knowledge with application troubleshooting experience.
    • Providing L3 pager support for complex enterprise applications.
