Key Responsibilities:


  • In response to industry's ESG request for support, develop and implement sustainability marketing strategic plans that align with the organization's ESG goal, reinforcing our position as a trusted strategic partner for diverse audiences within the industry.
  • Act as the primary marketing liaison between internal teams, stakeholders and external agencies to ensure seamless coordination on all sustainabilityfocused plans, campaigns and initiatives.
  • Work with the Communications team to create compelling and informative content to communicate the organization's commitment to sustainability across various channels.
  • Manage agency, freelancers and crossfunctional teams on the scope of projects they will deliver.
  • Create compelling content for diverse channels to communicate the organization's commitment to sustainability.
  • Work with the Marketing Events Lead to identify and execute sustainabilitythemed events and webinars, to amplify key messages, drive awareness and increase audience engagement.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, emerging sustainability issues and best practices for informed marketing strategies.
  • Develop insights through data analysis to optimize results and inform future planning.
  • Provocatively identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, environmental organizations, industry influencers, and thought leaders, while actively engaging with diverse audiences and events.
  • Seek strategic alliances, suggest brandbuilding approaches, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives to position the organization as an industry leader in sustainability.
  • Establish key performance indicators that align with organizational goals and regularly analyze campaign effectiveness, leveraging data and research into business insights.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of sustainability marketing initiatives, to evaluate overall effectiveness toward goals, identifying opportunities to optimize based on results.
  • Manage multiple project timelines, ensuring efficient development and timely delivery.
  • Actively lead and participate in crossfunctional planning meetings with internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Support corporate values and team engagement.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing or related field
  • 5+ years in marketing (ideally in roles focusing on sustainability), developing and managing marketing strategies, plans and deliverables.
  • Proven experience in sustainability marketing and familiarity with the sustainability, environmental and ESG landscape in Canada.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfortable with managing detailed processes across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental issues, and corporate responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex sustainability concepts clearly and compellingly.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and external partners.
  • Analytical skills to measure and report on the impact of sustainability marketing initiatives.
  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive environmental impact.
