    Job Title: Network Security Engineer

    Company: Synechron

    • Experience working with APIs to automate essential firewall tasks using languages such as Python
    • Familiarity with firewall assessment and compliance tools like FireMon or Tufin
    • Ability to understand and decode network traces and capture files
    • Effective communication skills with diverse technical audiences
    • Self-motivated to learn new technologies
    • Quick problem-solving skills related to network/security infrastructure
    • Knowledge of network security, Palo Alto firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication mechanisms, encryption technologies, and networking protocols including SMTP, DNS, TCP/IP
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in network security administration/engineering/architecture
    • Experience building, implementing, and administering Palo Alto firewalls (physical and virtual)
    • Proficiency in network segmentation with tools like Guardicore
    • Focus on maintaining security in all job duties

    Requirements:

    • Certifications: Palo Alto Networks Security (PCNSA/PCNSE), Access VPN solutions, Cisco ACI, Silver Peak, Security Certifications (GCSA/GCSE), Azure Cloud Certifications, Splunk, Firemon
    • Experience working with diverse cultures internationally
    • Strong project and time management skills
    • Experience in micro-segmentation and Palo Alto solutions such as Global Protect, Wildfire, Expedition
    • Deep understanding of Palo Alto NextGen features and concepts like UserID, AppID, ContentID, HIPs
