Who We Are

Job Summary:

As a member of the BGIS SCS Team, you will be generally responsible for cleaning in a designated zone with an emphasis on quality control, health and safety & striving to exceed client expectations.


Key Responsibilities:
Functioning as a core member of the operational team and reporting to the Manager/ Supervisor as a Heavy Duty Cleaner you may be required to perform the following tasks as required by the Manager/Supervisor and needs of the client:

  • Clean bins, wash and dust mop loading dock.
  • Return grey bins to compactor room.
  • Check status of salt bins, and advise FM is they are less than half full.
  • Clean drain located at lower ramp/remove debris.
  • Check walls, carpets and door handles from 1st to 6th and specify if any wall damage or any repair is required. Please advise FM.
  • Mop Computer Room Entrance/Change Sticky Mat.
  • Check all washroom women, men and handicap restock toilet paper, paper towel, seat covers and hand soap. After 2:30pm including Gym and mechanical washroom.
  • Wipe walls to ensure all scuff marks are removed.
  • Walk the C Floor and identify any floor tiles, which need to be changed.
  • Lounge: ensure vents are clean, clear and in working order. Base around blue acrylic wall clean and secure at base and top.
  • Boardroom Maintenance: Check condition of ceiling tiles, diffusers. Need to be cleaned. Check for any noises coming from vents etc. Please advise FM of findings/Action items accordingly.
  • Check all washroom and note any faucet, soap dispenser, toilet that is not working/not working properly. Please advise FM accordingly and replace/fix what is required.
  • Check all garbage on main floor and front security desk. ATS remove garbage.
  • Remove all garbage and recycling in all kitchenettes.
  • Help to set up area when is required.
  • Cleaning of Escalators.
  • Cleaning of Telephone Room.
  • Cleaning of Mechanical & Electrical Room.
  • Cleaning of Mechanical (Transformer Room).
  • Check the Live Plant Wall in the Lounge. Replace "moss" if any missing.
  • Collect/Dispose of all batteries.
  • Check if any signage needs to be replaced. Please request replacement copy from FM.
  • Check all walkways are clear of snow and ice. Immediate concerns should be addressed.
  • Clean Main Entrance Canopy ensure it is shiny at all times
  • Clean/Wipe Exterior/Perimeter ceiling lights
  • Window Cleaning :spring /summer (inside/outside).
  • Ensure Storage Room, attached to GYM, is clean and organized.
  • Power Wash Perimeter of building: To clear salt/sand/winter debris (spring/summer)
