Reporting to the AVP, Liquidity and Cash Management, the incumbent's main challenge will be to ensure that the Bank is always able to meet its liquidity obligations.

The incumbent is responsible for developing management tools and providing the information needed to make decisions regarding tasks related to managing liquidity, cash and collateral.

He or she also participates in various analyses, transactions and special projects in collaboration with his/her team and superior.


Responsibilities:

o Perform a daily follow-up regarding the Bank's liquidity level and explain any changes to it.

o Participate in establishing the Bank's financing plan with his or her superior.

o Produce weekly and monthly management reports for the Liquidity and Cash Management and ALCO committees.

o Update performance indicators for treasury, financial management and cash management activities.

o Work to automate and develop reports and tools used to manage interest rate and liquidity risk. Keep relevant documentation of the processes and activities updated.

o Keep updated on current regulation (Basel III, IRRBB) as well as industry practices and track market trends.


o Contribute to carrying out various projects and mandates that could have a major impact on the Bank's cash and liquidity management.


o Understand the Bank's daily cash position, assess the impact of various real-time transactions on the cash position, collateral and the effect on payment systems (LVTS, ACSS) and settlement systems (CDS, CLS).

o Analyze and participate in making investment and financing decisions to maximize returns or reduce costs.


o Analyze the Bank's primary liquidity portfolios, in accordance with risk limits and the Risk Management Policy and Liquidity Management Policy.

Participate in achieving budget requirements, while maintaining a high-quality portfolio of liquid assets.

o Perform all similar or general tasks requested by his or her superior or required by the job.


Qualifications:

He or she also participates in various analyses, transactions and special projects in collaboration with his/her team and superior.

o University degree in finance, accounting or any other related field

o Professional designation an asset (CFA, FRM, CPA, or other)

o One to three years of relevant experience

o Experience in financial analysis and knowledge of the banking sector, an asset

o Bilingualism (English, French), required

o Excellent proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Access

o Advanced Excel skills, knowledge of VBA, or other programming and statistical analysis tools like SAS would be an asset

o Outstanding analytical and summarizing skills

o Self-reliance, creativity, and the ability to work in a team
