The Job Opportunity

Maple Leaf is a company filled with enthusiastic individuals who have a strong passion for food. Currently, we have a job opening for an Industrial Electrician at our Edmonton Plant.

Hourly Rate: $45.61

Details of Daily Duties:

Diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical issues, with expertise in 600 V AC and lower field wiring, along with a good understanding of related instrumentation and controls/PLCs
Responding to verbal/written work requests promptly and implementing necessary solutions in a timely manner
Having a solid grasp of mechanical requirements and applying corrective measures accordingly
Performing routine maintenance tasks, managing work orders, and keeping track of inventory and labor using a computerized maintenance system
Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, WHIMS, MSDS, and BRC policies

Qualifications:

Experience in poultry processing is advantageous
Hold a Journeyman Red Seal Certificate for a minimum of 2 years
Familiarity with working on computerized maintenance systems and inventory reporting
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Self-motivated team player who is open to embracing new technologies, pays attention to detail, and acts with a sense of urgency
Must possess a complete set of personal/professional hand tools specifically for the Food Safety program
Ability to work a rotating schedule from Monday to Friday, between 4:00 am - 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
