Description
As our FPGA Designer you will design and develop new FPGA-based designs targeting ruggedized COTS VPX modules as well as the support of existing products.
Interact with customers regarding requirements and technical solutions.Support the development of the circuit card and the building, test, and debug of prototypes as well as the support of new products during environmental testing and entry into production.
Perform detailed digital logic design and implementation in the latest FPGA technologies.Verify HDL designs in simulation and on hardware platforms.
Participate in planning, scheduling and design resource estimation for project scoping.
Work from concept development, writing product specifications, test plans, VHDL/Verilog coding right through to simulation.
Responsible for FPGA functional allocation, logic design, HDL coding, simulation, synthesis, place & route, and bitstream generation.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent
~Experience/familiarity in the following is an asset:
~ Development of simulation test benches with Modelsim/Questa.
~ Xilinx 7-series, Zynq MPSOC, Versal Adaptive SoC and Ultrascale+ device families is an asset.
~ Designing with embedded processors and C software development is an asset.
~ Familiar with hardware test equipment logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
~ Familiarity with principles of high-speed digital circuit board design including signal integrity concepts.
~ Requirements capture, analysis, and tracking.
~ TCL or other automation scripts.
~ Strong understanding of an FPGA design flow, including RTL design with SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL, simulation, logic synthesis and timing closure.
