    Description

    HM Note: This hybrid role is three (3) days in office

    Responsibilities: and nbsp;

    Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. and nbsp;

    This includes: developing detailed programming specifications writing and/or generating code compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests and nbsp;

    Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations and nbsp;

    General Skills: and nbsp;

    Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level and nbsp;

    Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and nbsp;

    Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications and nbsp;

    Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications and nbsp;

    Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools and nbsp;

    Experience in one or more programming languages Experience in application design, latest design patterns, deployment and troubleshooting and nbsp;

    Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies and nbsp;

    Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages and nbsp;

    Experience with one or more communications protocols and nbsp;

    Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications and nbsp;

    Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts and nbsp;

    Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills and nbsp;

    Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications and nbsp;

    Experience with middleware and gateways and nbsp;

    Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging and nbsp;

    Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues and nbsp;

    Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team and nbsp;

    Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards and nbsp;

    Ability to provide user and system documentation as required

    Experience and Skill Set Requirements

    Development Skills and nbsp;40%

    • 10+ years and nbsp;of experience in data analysis developing business intelligence and reporting in a medium to large size corporate environment demonstrating detailed knowledge of BI functions such as analytics, data modeling and amp; data mining, reporting, report conversion and data cleansing. and nbsp;
    • Demonstrated experience in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Storage, ADF, Azure Analysis Service and nbsp;(must have)
    • Design and develop BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements and nbsp;
    • Implement, maintain, and support BI solutions in Microsoft and other BI platforms and nbsp;(must have)
    • Complete committed backlog and sprints within the agreed upon timeframe and nbsp;
    • Curate data from multiple data sources for an efficient presentation in an enterprise environment and nbsp;
    • Recommend improvements to streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, usability, and value and nbsp;
    • Remain abreast of technology developments within fields relevant to current and future BI and Reporting initiatives and nbsp;
    • Document "As Built' reports and all data transformations deployed to production and nbsp;
    • Take ownership of end-to-end development of each dashboard and report being developed and nbsp;

    Technology Skills and nbsp;35%

    • Experience with cloud platform like Azure and working knowledge for cloud migration and nbsp;(must have)
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure data analytics tools, such as, Azure Data Factories, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse and nbsp;(must have)
    • Expertise in advanced prediction and prescriptive analytics including machine learning algorithms, designing experiments, fraud detection and nbsp;
    • Internally motivated and adaptable, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment. and nbsp;
    • Managing PowerBI workspaces, report access, report deployment, developing best practices in an enterprise environment and nbsp;
    • Strong knowledge and experience in analyzing as well as designing data models that meet the reporting needs and nbsp;
    • Advance knowledge of writing complex SQL queries. and nbsp;
    • Strong Power BI experience (Power Query, DAX, Power Bi Services) and nbsp;
    • Experience with Microsoft BI and Azure stack and nbsp;
    • Able to troubleshoot BI reporting and analytic business needs and provide solutions for issue resolution and nbsp;
