Project Manager, Warehouse Management System -WMS based at our Mississauga office to manage all project activities for successful implementation of a new Warehouse Management System supporting Remco's locations in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.


Main Duties:


  • Plan, execute and control all project management activities including scope management, requirements management, coordinating technical, operations and vendor teams, testing, communication management, issue/ risk management, budget and resource management.
  • Develop fullscale project plans and associated communications documents, reporting project status and performance metrics.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Management of team resource capacity, including facilitating prioritization of competing projects.
  • Provide leadership in PM processes and best practices to Team members.
  • Ensures information and operational issues concerning project status(schedules, deliverables, costs, risks, issues) passes toandfrom stake holders, project team, and management.
  • Own complete project life cycle from definition to completion including deploying sustainable support models.
  • Demonstrate an excellent ability to communicate, lead and influence teams that do not directly report to PM.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required associates from within and outside the company.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Requirements:


  • 5+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, in Warehousing, Distribution or Supply Chain Management industry, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of Warehouse Management software, ideally
    HighJump/ Körber Warehouse Advantage
:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or IT.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification a definite asset.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment is crucial.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, influencing, and customer service skills
  • Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies
  • Minimum 3 years' experience coordinating and/supporting IT business processes.
  • Program/Product Managers require scheduling and budgeting experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage project team resources, budget, change requests and timeline
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Visio.
  • Prior experience in one of Jira, Wrike, MS-Project Project Management tools.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Ability to influence and motivate project team to maintain task schedules.
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
  • Some travel to out of town facilities may be required.
