Our Operations Administrator will support our business operations and growth.

This role will be a key enabler of our teams, providing a foundation of day-to-day activities across H2nanO's accounting, procurement, reporting, and operational administration.

The Operations Administrator will ensure H2nanO is operating at high efficiency and contribute to building the next phases of our business.


Operations Administrator Roles:


  • Assisting the Chief Financial Officer with financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring of key metrics for both commercial and research programs.
  • Execution and upkeep of accounting and financial operations, such as:
  • General bookkeeping, including maintaining accounts receivable and payable.
  • Daytoday monitoring and reporting for project and operations budgets.
  • Preparation of monthly and annual reporting and statutory filings.
  • Coordination of payroll, accounting, and insurance services.
  • Administration of external agreements for purchasing, sales, and other legal matters.
  • Continuous improvement of business operations practices, including monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Assisting executive and leadership teams with operational management and new initiatives for company growth.
  • Maintaining key supplier and service provider accounts, including upkeep of company procurement processes.
  • Administration of staff operations, such as:
  • Contracting and onboarding of new team members.
  • Payroll, timeoff, and human resources systems.
  • Employee benefits programs.
  • Team building support and workplace improvement.
  • Assisting with facilities administration, including support for environment, health, and safety programs.
  • Supporting technical operations teams for development of project management, resourcing, and business processes.

Experience and Qualifications:


The following education and professional experience background outlines our expectations for a well-equipped fit for the role, however ambition, openness, and excitement about helping to build a growing business are what is most valued.


  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in business and financial administration, or similar. Training or specialization in Technology, Science and Environment as a benefit.
  • Strong experience and training for business accounting and bookkeeping, including management of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Online.
  • Familiarity with Humi or similar online payroll systems.
  • Knowledgable in the requirements and best practices for internal financial planning and reporting and external statutory filings.
  • Proficient with Excel and use for financial administration and modelling.
  • Exposure to negotiating and maintaining company insurance, employee insurance and benefits, and other operations services.
  • Capability to execute sourcing, procurement, and logistics in support of technical staff operations, including vendor management.
  • Highly organized and results driven, with an instinct and enjoyment for improving systems and supporting team operations.
  • Background or exposure to science and technology, especially environmental technology and services, is a benefit.
  • Knowledge of general business operations and best practices for technical teams, including support of training, safety and operational upkeep.
