RKey Responsibilities:


  • Clearing of the work area, preparation of tools and materials
  • Use of hand tools
  • Digging holes and trenches
  • Pulling cable
  • Move and carry construction materials and supplies that may weigh in excess of 30 kg
  • Cable preparation and placement
  • Basic interpretation of plans, diagrams, and locates
  • Work outdoors in various elements
  • Communicate with team members on preparation and project coordination

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 1year experience in a telecom construction environment
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Preference for previous construction laborer experience, such as shallow utilities or pipeline but not required
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Willing to work long hours and travel. The shift schedule is 10hour days.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to job sites and a valid driver's license
  • A safetyconscious, positive attitude, and good work ethic
  • Willing to assist the team in any capacity
  • Good verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to read blueprint is an asset

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
$28.00-$38.00 per hour
