SUMMARY

About the Role - Writer's Room Server

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with the front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations.

The server functionally reports to the Lounge Manager.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Greets guests and presents them with the menu
Informs guests of specials and menu changes and answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
Communicate with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations.
Presents open and pours wine and beer when serving guests
Assists table support team with stocking workstations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
Assists with the cash register at counterservice restaurants
Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

Service focused personality is essential
Previous fine dining or luxury level service knowledge and training.
Minimum 2 year previous work experience in a worldclass luxury brand in a similar capacity.
Current Smart Serve certification.
Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated and qualitydriven
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Constant walking & standing
Frequent lifting, crouching/bending/stooping/kneeling
